FOMO

Do you ever feel like you are missing out on everything? I’m quite sure we’ve all experienced Fear Of Missing Out at least a couple of times. We often feel anxious or pressurised by other people’s social lives and experiences.

While it is quite easy to get carried away, especially in the age of social media, we must remember to live our own lives. When we see other people enjoying and having fun, we must remember that people only want to showcase their best days. It’s okay to take time out for yourself without feeling like you are missing out.

Studies have shown that people are twice as affected by their losses than their gains. So, when FOMO hits, try focusing on what you gain through your life instead of what you’re losing by not imitating a peer. Chances are, there are a lot more pros to living life on your own terms!
